I made a New Year's Resolution in 2008, to take a picture a day for a year. It was a really great decision, because it made me appreciate everything that happened to me in 2008 that much more. I was going to do a picture a week in 2009, but that did not end up working out. However, with another New Year, I'm back in business. I hope 2010 turns out to be another great year!
Another book club. This time we read Mathilda Savitchwhich was an interesting coming of age novel by a debut novelist. Here is a picture of me with our fearless leader Colin after book club had finished.
I have an extremely hard time breaking a written rule. This is preciously the reason that I could not take a picture of the sunglasses that Jeet had to choose from at St. Mark's. Honestly, one hand written sign requesting that you not take pictures and it was all over. Clearly you are not able to pick anything out from the picture that I did take!
Easter Monday was a glorious day in the city. It was about 70 degrees today and it was a great day for playing cards in the park and eating lunch outside. Here we are at one of my favorites, Cilantro with is a Mexican place, super cheap for lunch too!
We went down to Brooklyn to go to my Church for Easter Sunday. It was a nice service and it was great introducing my parents to some of the wonderful people that I've meet there. Before the service there was an Easter breakfast and egg hunt. Here is grandpa finding an egg in a tree. Careful, that is a real egg and there is a limit of five eggs.
We decided to take the Circle Line Tour around the city. It was something that I had never done before and it doesn't require a lot of walking!! We went on the three hour tour which hit all the highlights and the top of the island. To be honest I had no clue what it looked like at the top of Manhattan and I really enjoyed seeing it first hand.
Grandpa and Grandma made their way to New York with my mom and dad for Easter. They meet up with me at work. I gave them the tour of our building and then took them to a diner for lunch. Here we are crossing Park Avenue before they headed to Central Park to enjoy the sunshine.
Here it is the first day of April and I hadn't posted the March desert of the month yet. It was Irish Cream brownies with Irish Cream frosting. Once again a success and a big hit at work were the desert of the month calendar has become quite popular.
