2010 - Day 267

Alright, I already admitted that my pictures this week can use some help. So it has a feature where you can see yourself while you are taking a picture. However, now I realize that it is the web cam feature that takes your picture from the front. I guess that is why it has split pixels. Anyway, I'm upset cause the Packers lost to the Bears, crap!

2010 - Day 266

Okay this weekend's photos need some help. But the guy across from us said that my iPhone's flash wasn't going to take a good picture. At least, that isn't true. This is a very nice picture of Karen during our day of football watching.

2010 - Day 265

Jen and I decided that we were going to drink 1 $12 drink instead of 12 $1 drinks. Well we had 2 which and they were delicious. Here is a lame picture of them, and it captured the guy next to us also which certainly isn't bad.

2010 - Day 264

Today in the mail I got the tickets for when my dad and I are going to the Colts game in November. This is a ridiculously expensive goal going to see all 32 NFL teams, but so far it is amazingly fun.

2010 - Day 263

I had the Thursday playoffs for kickball, unfortunately we lost in the last round. Akeli, Hanley and Sarah met up with me after and we had a drink and played a few board games at Common Ground.

September 22, 2010

2010 - Day 263

Sarah's main purpose for this trip was to go and see Bethenny Frankel who was doing a lecture through the Learning Annex. Here is a picture with Bethenny's husband, assistant and Sarah while she is getting her books signed.

September 21, 2010

2010 - Day 262

Sarah came to visit this week which was an incredible time. We started off by getting dinner and then went for a walk. I got a chance to test out the flash on my new iphone with this picture of Sarah. She couldn't quite make it through Leap Year after a long day.

2010 - Day 261

I finally made a Monday Dinner again. It had been awhile, but everything is getting back to normal around here. I made a delicious turkey enchilada casserole. It was very good. Then I made the September dessert of the month to go with it. S'more bars and they were incredible.

September 19, 2010

2010 - Day 260

I had a work meeting this morning. It meant that I had to miss the first half of the Packers game. Turned out for the best however. I ended up at Johnny Foxes and it was perfect. They had audio of the Packer game, a sandwich/salad that wasn't fried food, and Harp one of my favorite beers to drink on tap. Then I came home and watched a little more football and set my DVR to check out the new shows and decide which ones I think are worth watching.

September 18, 2010

2010 - Day 259

Jean and Karen came with me dressed in red to the Wisconsin bar for the Wisconsin/Arizona State game. It was a nail biter and made me a bit anxious for the season. Fortunately we blocked an extra point to save the game. Phew.

September 17, 2010

2010 - Day 258

My friends Jessica and Kipp had a birthday party at One Fish Two Fish a great seafood restaurant on Madison Avenue. It was a lot of fun and amazing food. Here is Jessica wearing Eric's crab leg bib. Delicious.

2010 - Day 257

Today ended up being a really long day, but not necessarily picture worthy. In fact the only picture that I took for today was one that Anthony needed for the website. It is a pretty good generic photo if you ask me.

September 15, 2010

2010 - Day 256

Unfortunately, the bar that we usually go to after kickball was temporarily closed. So we went to a different bar a few blocks away. The best part about this bar was a sign posted downstairs. It said No Dancing Permitted so clearly I had to take a picture of Sara dancing next to it. Nice.

September 14, 2010

2010 - Day 255

Today was primary day. I unfortunately did not know enough about the candidates and had a meeting to go to from 7 PM - 9 PM, so I did not end up voting. However, I did get a few fliers and I thought that it was interesting the groups that sponsored this candidate. Clearly she is trying to represent the Upper East Side and not running for president.

2010 - Day 254

Obviously, I need one more Pittsburgh shot before I can move on with my week. So here you go. This could be an NFL pan shot, seriously? I love the terrible towels, especially how used some of them were. Ahh, football season what a great note to start a week on.

September 12, 2010

2010 - Day 253

What is the three for? Oh yeah, 3 NFL stadiums down 29 to go . . .

I am dressed in a Falcon's Jersey, because frankly I don't have a preference between the Falcons and the Steelers so I thought I would show solidarity. I did purchase a terrible towel though, and was accused of being on both sides by a Steelers Fan! Pittsburgh fans are amazing. They are obsessed with football. The stadium is packed, they even sell standing room tickets. Practically everyone is wearing a jersey, and many of them are Polamalu who is probably the best defensive player ever. They had a great pregame culture as well. Although, I think Kansas City might have them beat on tailgating. Lambeau is the other stadium I've been to and I like the way that one is set up the best, because there every seat seems to have a great view. It is really cool how the exit on the interstate for Lambeau is basically just the stadium. You have to love Green Bay.

It was a pretty good game. Mostly field goals and the only touchdown came in overtime. The final score was 15-9. It is the first time I've seen the home team win. Good luck Steelers. Happy week 1.

September 11, 2010

2010 - Day 252

I headed to Pittsburgh this weekend. This is part of my quest to go to all of the NFL stadiums. I went with a guy who is a huge Falcons fan and we had a great time. We went to Primanti Brothers which is probably the most famous Pittsburgh eatery. It is one of those great places that only has the menu on the wall. I got a fish sandwich. All of their sandwiches come with fries and coleslaw on them. It was pretty good and certainly different.

September 10, 2010

2010 - Day 251

I took a personal day today, to celebrate my roommate's birthday. Of course, why else would you need a day off. We went to Bloomingdale's for makeup consultations. Then we had tea and lunch at Alice's Tea Cup. It was a fantastic girly day. Happy Birthday Amanda!

September 9, 2010

2010 - Day 250

Finally, the first day of the NFL season. I decided to celebrate by hanging out with my kickball team at our kickball bar. We had the night off for Rosh Hashanah. The girls on my team were a little more into erotic photo hunt than the game, though. It was fun.

September 8, 2010

2010 - Day 249

It was our 2 year anniversary for book club, so Colin decided that we should do something different. We were supposed to meet at Sheep's Meadow in Central Park. Unfortunately the section closed at dusk which was about 15 minutes after we got settled. Fortunately, Kathryn volunteered her wonderful apartment for us to finish up.

September 7, 2010

2010 - Day 248

I was introduced to ladder ball last summer in Iowa. Jeet became the newest fan this weekend. This picture turned out great, I took it right as Dad was getting a 3 pointer.

September 6, 2010

2010 - Day 247

Mom and Dad are the best hosts ever. We had an incredible lunch when we arrived. Then we went to Shogun for dinner which was also incredible. Today we had another great meal. Here is a picture of me with mom and dad on their back porch.

September 5, 2010

2010 - Day 246

We made the trek from Chicago to Racine today. Which is really just a little over an hour away. Along the way we stopped at the Mars Cheese Castle for some samples and a beef stick. The bar at the Cheese Castle was crowded before lunch, oh Wisconsin.

September 4, 2010

2010 - Day 245

Jeet and I had a full day of amazing things in Chicago. We started off with Brunch, walked through a ton of the city and then did some touristy things. Here we are taking our picture at the bean. It is neat all the different angles that you can take your picture from. I wish I had more than just my iPhone to take pictures with though, oops.

September 3, 2010

2010 - Day 244

I arrived at O'hare for my trip to the Midwest this weekend. While walking to the train I saw all of Chicago's sister cities. Busan, South Korea is one of them, which I thought was neat because that is where Elle is currently living.

September 2, 2010

2010 - Day 243

This Thursday at kickball a couple on the Forrest Green team ended up getting engaged. It was super cute. They met playing kickball in the Spring and now they are engaged. I love this picture with her ring displayed.

September 1, 2010

2010 - Day 242

This person was clearly just riding the bus on her way home from work. However, I thought that it was a great ensemble. One of my sisters was terrified of clowns when we were kids. I have always thought they were entertaining. I did not get a balloon animal on the bus though.

August 31, 2010

2010 - Day 241

I had to rush home tonight to take part in my fantasy draft for Ben's league. The jerk completely screwed me by making defenses way too powerful and then picking one in an early round right after my turn, so there was NOTHING left by the time it was my turn. Who knows maybe the Colts or the Chargers will have an amazing year. Also Brett Favre is my quarterback. I'm so screwed.

August 30, 2010

2010 - Day 240
It is fall, almost! I have spent some quality time researching fantasy football and reading up on how Wisconsin and Green Bay. Both of whom are going to be awesome this year! While doing this, I came across this amazing photo. Credit where credit is due, this picture did not have the photographer's name but it came from sportingnews.com. Such an awesome view of Camp Randall, arguably one of my favorite places on earth, through a football visor. I love it!!
