2010 - Day 189

I went with Mitchell and Sara to meet up with some of their friends at the Boat Basin to watch the final World Cup game. Once it went into overtime I got a little bored and had to play a game to keep interested. I'm happy for Spain (even if I was cheering for Holland.) Also this picture turned out great, they are so photogenic the newlyweds.

2010 - Day 189

Jen and I had a great movie day, where we saw Grown Ups and Despicable Me. I really enjoyed both movies a lot more than I thought that I would. After that, I couldn't decide what to do. So I picked up supplies for spaghetti and a bottle of wine and just kept watching movies.

2010 - Day 188

Even though it was only a 4 day week it still seemed really long. So I spent my Friday evening laying in bed and reading. I finished a book and started, The Art of Choosing. Which is an interesting book written by a professor from Columbia about how choices make our lives better. It is pretty interesting and even had a passage from Adrift at the beginning, which is something we read for book club.

2010 - Day 187

I was lamenting that I looked a little bit like an idiot still dressed in my kickball cloths. However, we ran into a group of wiffle ball players at Stumble Inn so I wasn't the only one. It clearly didn't stop me from having a great time.

2010 - Day 186

I chose kickball over the bookclub discussion tonight. However, I couldn't resist seeing my bookclub group completely. So after two games of kickball in the 90 degree heat and a game or two of flip cup, I headed to the Upper East. Just in time to enjoy some amazing karaoke.

2010 - Day 185

As exciting as the day back from a three day weekend was . . . I think the firework view from Akeli's roof was much more interesting. This is a distance view of the Manhattan fireworks. However, we were able to see firework shows in about three other places.

2010 - Day 184

Fourth of July continued. There were amazing red, white and blue pies for dessert at the barbecue. I had some of the cherry and it was delicious. So much so that it is more exciting than anything happened today. Where I spent my day off enjoying the a/c in my apartment and watching movies with Karen.
