2010 - Day 239

Here is a food shot for those of you who comment on how often I take pictures of food. You have to admit this is gorgeous though. Karen and I tried a new brunch spot today. Their menu was all brunch versions of classic tapas. This was eggs florentine. We tried three other things that were equally delicious. We'll have to go back here.

2010 - Day 238

I decided to have an early day of activities today. So I met Jean for brunch at Penelope and then we went shopping in Midtown. It was a nice day in a neighborhood that neither of us has spent much time in for awhile.

2010 - Day 237

I had plans to do something tonight. When I asked what we were doing I was told, "It is nice out, something outside?" Another reason I adore Manhattan. Not a problem we went to see Rosemary's Baby at the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center.

2010 - Day 236

Karen is one of the best friends someone could have, because she is typically up for anything whenever. This week we were short for kickball so I told her at 5 PM that she should come. She showed up at 7:30 dressed in green, looks like it was worth it huh? Here she is doing a victory dance with Mahelet and Steven.

2010 - Day 235

This sign in my apartment building this morning was pretty entertaining. They are upset because they moved the bus stop about a quarter of a block down the street. They make some compelling arguments as to why this was dumb. However, they start with every time the bus comes it beeps three times. I thought that opening the argument that way was very entertaining. If you want to complain to the MTA, be my guest. They already repainted the street though, so I don't think it is going to work out.

2010 - Day 234
This is a picture from Chelsea, so I'll let her write today's post. "Just in case you thought you were having a crummy day just be glad that you didn't spend the entire day at school only to come home to stare all night at this, and yes, he is real."

2010 - Day 233
Damn you, UK VHS tape, my nemesis. The story goes that Amanda and Jay went to the UK for vacation in July. While in the apartment where they were staying, they found Simon Schama A History of Britain. A collection of 6 VHS tapes. Well, they finished thousands of years of British History and ended in the middle of the 5th tape. Turns out you can't watch this tape on an American VCR, the two remaining in the world. So I asked Chester if he had anything and he thought he did. However, it turns out he only had a VCR that played American tapes in Poland. That isn't going to d0 anyone any good. Foiled again it seems.
