I made a New Year's Resolution in 2008, to take a picture a day for a year. It was a really great decision, because it made me appreciate everything that happened to me in 2008 that much more. I was going to do a picture a week in 2009, but that did not end up working out. However, with another New Year, I'm back in business. I hope 2010 turns out to be another great year!
We did face painting for kickball this week. We decided that since we are Saved by the Bell themed we would paint tiger paws on our cheeks. They turned out well and we had another great game. We are now 3-1 and it is pretty exciting.
Finally a day with no plans!! I came home order Chinese takeout and watched tv. Then my roommate came home and we caught up for awhile. We decided we needed something a little sweet, fortunately I had m&ms that I bought at the airport last weekend. They were "sharing size" good thing I had someone to share with.
Here is the building where I've been tutoring for the SATs. The center is called the Educational Alliance or edgies and it has all kinds of sport and educational programs for youth and adults in the area.
Jay hosted Monday Dinner this week at his newish apartment. It was so delicious. He prepared pork stock and then made a glaze for the pork loin. We then had brocollini with pancetta and rice. It was finished off with an apple pie that Amanda had made. Excellent dinner.
There is no reason to worry about the corn crop in Iowa this year. Grandpa had saved us a huge piece of corn to see. Here is Amber trying to hold it up. We had a fantastic dinner that Grandma had prepared for us. Then there was just enough time to hold the corn and pet the sheep before we had to hit the road again. It was really hard to pick pictures for the last few days so don't be surprised if you see a few more later this week.
Team Holtz rocks at tailgating. Even with the addition of Larry and Jared our adopted Holtzs we dominated at flip cup. Larry and Amber got to the parking lot at 6:30 AM to reserve our spot. The rest of us arrived at 8 AM for a full day of tailgating. The game turned out AMAZING as long as you ask a Badger, we won by 1. It was a fantastic day with my fantastic cousins.
