2010 - Day 132

In this week of chaos, we ended up having Monday dinner on Wednesday. I made an old standby, turkey chili. It was so cold today in New York, that I thought chili was more than appropriate. I spiced it up with some left over peppers from salsa Monday Night dinner and it turned out fantastic. Even better, it made a great lunch for Amanda and I as well.

2010 - Day 131

My mom figured out how to text pictures and sent me this one of the flowers that I sent her for Mother's Day. I am not great at picking out someone's favorite flowers, so I went with her favorite color instead!

2010 - Day 130

I cannot take credit for this photo it is by Gavin Thomas and is taken from http://nymag.com/listings/bar/epistrophy/.

In my attempt to try anything once, I decided to go speed dating with Jen tonight. Beforehand we went here to Epistrophy for dinner. We actually sat in the exact corner of the bar pictured here. We ended up being in quite a rush, which explains why I didn't get my own photo. However, it was a wonderful place. We enjoyed a great cheese and meat board and then I had a fantastic salad, before we moved on.

2010 - Day 129

Karen and I went to see Iron Man 2 this afternoon. It was not quite as amazing as the 1st one, but it was still a good movie. I took this picture as a sample for my mom as how to text a photo from her new iPhone.

2010 - Day 128

I enjoy few things as much as I enjoy brunch. Today I took a recommendation from my friend, Rob, from months ago. Katie joined me for Brunch at Char 4 on Smith Street in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. The food was incredible. I had the brunch special which included: maple glazed ham, cornbread, a poached egg, homemade apple sauce and some garlic potatoes which must have been soaked in garlic overnight or something. I most certainly will have to go here again.

2010 - Day 127

Akeli talked me into going to Bushwick with her tonight. There is nothing about these loft apartments that really embodies my "scene." However, I had an awesome time. It was great to meet a bunch of new people and interesting to see how people live in this incredibly creative space. This picture is in the bathroom, where they had written thoughts and created drawings over NYC subway maps.

2010 - Day 126

Nothing about today went quite right. Beginning with leaving my cell phone at home. Oh well, I figured people survived for thousands of years with out them. I was even capable of meeting Akeli for another Jamba Juice at the same place one that we went to on Tuesday. I choose the place where we sat, because it is the building I used to work at on Park Avenue. You may remember this fountain from Breakfast at Tiffany's. I absolutely love this building, and the fact that it is staying light out until almost 8 PM. Summer is almost here!!
