Day 118 - April 27, 2008Yea film festival!! Well, Kumi's best friend, Alexandra, was visiting from Boston this weekend. So, Xan and Abby came with us to our Sunday film. We saw Mi Vida Dentro, a documentary about a Mexican woman, who while living in Austin, Texas as an illegal immigrant worked as a babysitter. One day a child in her care died, due to chocking on paper towels. The movie covered the trial, in which Rosa is accused of murdering the child who was in her care at the time. It is a fascinating portrayal of the American Judicial system and one of the many ways in which it is broken. After the movie Kumi and I walked around and had a great dinner at 7A. Overall, it was a great day, even though the movie was a bit of a downer!
